Meissen Dresden Floral Handpainted Inkwell / Fruit Dish

This item is a simply stunning dish. In actual fact, we don't beleive that its original design was a dish, but an ink well, but it could certainly be used as a beautiful fruit bowl.

If you notice the hollowed area at the centre of the piece, maybe that was an inkwell. Either way it doesn't matter. The item makes an amazingly decorative additition to any home.

The dish measures 26cm x 20cm and just 4.5cm high.

Is a simply outstanding floral design, as you can see in our pictures. All handpainted along with the gold trim.

The main design is a floral pattern. Incredibly intricate it has to be mentioned. If you carefully run your finger over the paint you can actually feel the layers of paint. To imagine the painstaking amount of time spent on each piece is mind boggling!
