Plaue Lithophane Lamp Castle Design

This particular item is  a simply glorious Plaue Lithophane table lamp. The item has been totally handpainted and there are illustrations of a castle on the banks of a river. Possibly the river Elbe which bordered East and West Germany.

Each picture of the castle is surrounded by a beautiful gold trim.

The lamp stands 26cm tall. The shade can be removed to place a lightbulb inside. The shade on its own measures 16.5cm diameter at the bottom.

Both the underside of the shade and the lamp itself proudly displays the PMP Plaue logo under the crown as shown below.

Please see the image to see how the lamp looks when it is switched on. The lithoplane effect is simply amazing. These items are so very rare.  The lamp has a long power cord which has an on/off switch. The lamp itself takes a small adison screw bulb. These are readily available in stores. I bought the one used to light the lamp in the pictures below in our local village hardware store.

The lamp is fitted with a Euro 2 pin plug. This can easily be changed to a plug for any country.
